1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking,
packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate and order (or contract)
content of aluminum and aluminum alloys plates, sheets and strips for cans and caps
of new energy power batteries.
This Standard applies to aluminum and aluminum alloys plates, sheets (hereinafter
referred to as plates, sheets) and aluminum and aluminum alloys strips (hereinafter
referred to as strips) for cans and caps of new energy power batteries for electric
vehicles, electric bicycles, power storage, communications energy storage and other
fields.

5.1.2 “A1” mass fraction is calculated according to the method specified in GB/T 3190.
When calculating the “A1” mass fraction, take the sum of the analysis value of routine
analysis elements and suspected-excess non-routine analysis elements as “the sum
of the mass fraction of elements”.
5.1.3 The test method for prohibited substances of products shall comply with the
provisions of GB/T 30512.
5.1.4 The determination of the analysis value uses the rounding off comparison method.
Rules of rounding off for numerical values are in accordance with the provisions of
GB/T 8170, and rounding off digit shall be consistent with the limit digit specified in this
Standard or in GB/T 3190.
5.2 Dimension deviation
The measurement method for dimension deviation shall comply with the provisions of
GB/T 3880.3-2012, using corresponding measuring tools that can ensure the accuracy
to measure the split layer and tower shape. The dimension measured values are not
allowed to be rounded off.
5.3 Mechanical properties at room temperature
The sample and test method for longitudinal tensile mechanical properties at room
temperature shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 16865.
5.4 Earing rate
The test method for earing rate shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 5125.
5.5 Cupping value
The test method for cupping value shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 4156.
5.6 Laser welding property
The test method for laser welding property shall comply with the provisions of Annex
A. The laser welding test procedure may comply with the provisions of Annex B.
5.7 Appearance quality
The test method for appearance quality of products shall comply with the provisions of
GB/T 3880.1-2012.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Inspection and acceptance

6.6 Determination of test results
6.6.1 When the chemical composition of any of the samples is unqualified, and if the
furnace batch of products can be distinguished, then the furnace batch represented by
this sample is determined unqualified. Other furnace batches shall be inspected in turn,
and delivery the qualified products. If the furnace batch of products cannot be
distinguished, then this batch is determined unqualified.
6.6.2 When the prohibited substances of any of the samples is unqualified, and if the
furnace batch of products can be distinguished, then the furnace batch represented by
this sample is determined unqualified. Other furnace batches shall be inspected in turn,
and delivery the qualified products. If the furnace batch of products cannot be
distinguished, then this batch is determined unqualified.
6.6.3 When the dimension deviation of any of the plates/sheets is unqualified, this
batch of products are determined unqualified. Agreed upon by both supply and
demand parties, it is allowed to inspect piece by piece, and delivery the qualified
products. When the dimension deviation of any of the strips is unqualified, this roll is
determined unqualified.
6.6.4 When the tensile mechanical property at room temperature of any of the samples
is unqualified, it shall take double the number of samples from this batch (furnace) of
products to carry out re-test. If the re-test results are all qualified, this batch...

furnace batch of products can be distinguished, then the furnace batch represented by
this sample is determined unqualified. Other furnace batches shall be inspected in turn,
and delivery the qualified products. If the furnace batch of products cannot be
distinguished, then this batch is determined unqualified.
6.6.2 When the prohibited substances of any of the samples is unqualified, and if the
furnace batch of products can be distinguished, then the furnace batch represented by
this sample is determined unqualified. Other furnace batches shall be inspected in turn,
and delivery the qualified products. If the furnace batch of products cannot be
distinguished, then this batch is determined unqualified.
6.6.3 When the dimension deviation of any of the plates/sheets is unqualified, this
batch of products are determined unqualified. Agreed upon by both supply and

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking,
packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate and order (or contract)
content of aluminum and aluminum alloys plates, sheets and strips for cans and caps
of new energy power batteries.
This Standard applies to aluminum and aluminum alloys plates, sheets (hereinafter
referred to as plates, sheets) and aluminum and aluminum alloys strips (hereinafter
referred to as strips) for cans and caps of new energy power batteries for electric
vehicles, electric bicycles, power storage, communications energy storage and other
fields.

5.1.2 “A1” mass fraction is calculated according to the method specified in GB/T 3190.
When calculating the “A1” mass fraction, take the sum of the analysis value of routine
analysis elements and suspected-excess non-routine analysis elements as “the sum
of the mass fraction of elements”.
5.1.3 The test method for prohibited substances of products shall comply with the
provisions of GB/T 30512.
5.1.4 The determination of the analysis value uses the rounding off comparison method.
Rules of rounding off for numerical values are in accordance with the provisions of
GB/T 8170, and rounding off digit shall be consistent with the limit digit specified in this
Standard or in GB/T 3190.
5.2 Dimension deviation
The measurement method for dimension deviation shall comply with the provisions of
GB/T 3880.3-2012, using corresponding measuring tools that can ensure the accuracy
to measure the split layer and tower shape. The dimension measured values are not
allowed to be rounded off.
