Scope

This document describes a method for testing the complex compressive modulus E* and
compression loss factor of polymers in non-resonant compressive vibration modes in
the range of 0.01 Hz~100 Hz. The test subjects are semi-rigid polymers with a dynamic
compressive storage modulus ranging from 1 MPa to 1 GPa, and their shapes are right-
angled prisms, cylinders, or tubes.
This document is applicable to the study of the compressive complex modulus of semi-
rigid plastics, and also to the study of the dynamic properties of semi-rigid plastics in
the glass transition region as a function of temperature and frequency.
