1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, preparation requirements, source,
transmission, assessment and its contents for the environmental information on
electrical and electronic products.
This Standard is applicable to the related enterprises on the supply chain of electrical
and electronic products.
2 Normative References
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the
dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this
document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the
amendments) are applicable to this document.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions stipulated in GB/T 24001-2004 and GB/T 31250-
2014 are applicable to this document.
1) Environmental impact.

5 Source of Environmental Information
The source of environmental information includes but not limited to.
a) Obtain the environmental information on raw materials from the upstream supplier;
b) Obtain the environmental information on manufacturing phase from the enterprise;
c) Obtain the environmental information on the distributing phase from the package
and transportation periods;
d) Obtain the environmental information on the life end phase from the treatment
period;
e) Obtain the environmental information on the specific substance/material under
certain process condition from the public available resources, such as relevant
literatures, scientific research, databases etc.
6 Transmission and Assessment of Environmental
Information
6.1 Information transmission
The enterprise shall manage the environmental information of the product, prepare the
environmental information declaration, and provide to the relevant parties. If
information is not adequately obtained, it can also request from the relevant parties to
obtain the necessary environmental information.
6.2 Information assessment
Assess the environmental information from the following three aspects.
a) Completeness of information;
b) Relevance to upstream supplier and the product they supplied;
c) Consistency with the test report and other information.

The content of environmental information on life end can refer to Table 6.

calculating the renewable utilization)
7.5 Environmental impact
In addition to the product itself, the assessment of product environmental impact shall
also include the package materials and consumables. It shall cover all phases of the
product life cycle, such as raw material, manufacturing, distributing (transporting and
packaging), using and life end.
When using software or database to assess the environmental impact, the used
software and its version, as well as database and its version shall be indicated. If
feasible, it shall provide the calculation method for the indicator selection of
environmental impact, and indicate the condition assumption during the calculating
period.
The content of environmental impact assessment can refer to Table 7, but not only
limited to the following contents.
