Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard uses redrafting method to modify and adopt ISO 3584.2001
Road vehicles -- Drawbar couplings -- Interchangeability.
Compared with ISO 3584.2001, the technical differences as well as their
reasons in this Standard are as follows.
- modified “Fmax” to “Fmin” in frame size requirements of Table 2 for easy
understanding and use in China;
- modified “the drawbar coupling shall meet requirements of ISO 8718 or
ISO 12357 or common strength test” to “the drawbar coupling shall meet
the relevant requirements of GB 15087, ISO 12357-1, ISO 12357-2
according to the structure of the trailer” for easy understanding and use;
- added footnotes to D value, Dc value, S value and V value in Table 5 in
5.5.3 so as to meet requirements of GB/T 1.1.
For easy use, this Standard also makes the following editorial modifications.
- deleted 3.1;
- in normative references, where there are national standards which use
and modify the International standards, the International standards shall
be modified to corresponding national standards.
This Standard was proposed by Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic
of China.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
on Automobile of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 114).

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements for the installation and
interchangeability of drawbar coupling on tractor frame (beam, tow beam or
mounting bracket).
This Standard is applicable to drawbar coupling for connecting towing trailer,
and center trailer.
