This document describes the test method for measuring the coast-by noise—specifically, noise generated while the tyre rolls freely on a drum without driving force. This document analyzes the conversion relationship and correlation between tyre noise tested in a hemi-anechoic room and tyre noise obtained using the test method specified in GB/T 22036. This document is applicable to C1, C2, and C3 tyres as defined in 3.1. This document is not applicable to the measurement of tyre noise from vehicles under normal driving conditions or traffic noise at a given position.
