Scope

This document specifies the designations, manufacturing, technical requirements,
inspection rules, marks, certificates of conformity, packaging, transportation, and
storage for abrasion⁃corrosion resistant steel castings (hereinafter referred to as
"castings").
This document applies to the production, inspection, application, procurement, and
acceptance of castings - primarily subject to wet corrosive abrasive wear dominated by
abrasive wear - across industries such as mining, metallurgy, building materials, electric
power, construction, shipbuilding, chemicals, and machinery. For other operating
conditions, the abrasion⁃corrosion resistant steel castings shall be manufactured in
accordance with the relevant standards.
