Scope

This standard specifies the test method for determining the methanol content in food
detergents.
This standard applies to the determination of methanol content in food-grade detergents,
and also to the determination of methanol content in non-food-grade detergents.
The detection limit of this standard is 1.2 mg/kg, and the minimum quantitation limit is
5 mg/kg.
