Scope

This document describes the test methods for the DC resistance of conductors of electric
wires and cables, including test equipment, specimen preparation, test conditions, test
procedure, test results, calculations, and test records.
This document applies to measuring the DC resistance of conductors of wires and
cables, the measurement ranges are as follows.
- double-arm bridge. 1 × 10-7 Ω ~ 99.9 Ω;
- single-arm bridge. 1 Ω and above.
This document does not apply to measuring the DC resistance of installed wires and
cables.
