Foreword
This Standard is not equivalent to “US Tire and Rim Association Yearbook – 2007 (TRA-
2007)” (English Edition).
This Standard replaces GB/T 2977-1997 “Series of Truck Tyres” and GB/T 19407-2003
“Agricultural Tractor – Maximum Actuating Forces Required to Operate Controls”.
There is no major technical difference between this Standard and GB/T 19047-2003. The
main differences from the previous standard GB/T 2977-1997 are as follows.
— Add load index (refer to Table 1 ~ Table 21);
— For some tyre sizes, add higher ply rating tyres based on GB/T 2977-1997 (some
tyre sizes in Table 1 ~ 4, Table 6, 12, 15 and 16).
— Add some tyre sizes (refer to Table 1 ~ 21);
— Delete the sizes of nominal diagonal tyre (Table 9 and 20 of 1997 edition) and some
sizes of diagonal tyre with normal section (Table 3, 5, 12, and 14 of 1997 edition);
add the sizes of light truck radial tyre (Table 10 of this Standard), the sizes of ST
nominal tyre specially used in road trailer (Table 11 of this Standard), the sizes of
road-base truck diagonal tyre (Table 14 of this Standard), and the sizes of
recreational vehicle tyre (Table 21 of this Standard);
— Delete the table “the corresponding relation between inflation pressure and load
capacity” (Table 2, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 17,19, 22, 24, 26, and 28 of 1997 edition);
— “Measurement tyre” replaces “standard tyre” (Table 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18,
20, 21, 23, 24, 25 and 27 of edition 1997; Table 1 to Table 21 of this Standard).
— Adjust the section width and external diametrical difference of tyre after air inflation
(Table 1 and 5 of 1997 edition; Table 1 ~ Table 21 of this Standard);
— Adjust the load variation rates of tyre under different speeds (Table 31 of 1997 edition;
Table 22 of this Standard).
Appendix A and B of this Standard are normative.
This Standard was proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association.
This Standard shall be under jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Tyres and
