Rare earth carbonate of ion-absorbed type rare earth ore
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and packaging,
marking, transportation, storage and quality certificates of rare earth carbonate of ion-
absorbed type rare earth ore.
This Standard applies to rare earth carbonate of ion-absorbed type rare earth ore, which
are mainly used as raw materials for grouping rare earths or separating single rare earth
compounds.

absorbed type RE ore - Determination of aluminum oxide content
4.1.4 The analysis method of Al2O3 in products shall be carried out in accordance with
the provisions of GB/T 18882.2.
4.1.5 The analysis method of SO42- in products shall be carried out with reference to the
provisions of GB/T 16484.12.
4.1.6 The analysis method of loss on ignition in products shall be carried out in
accordance with the provisions of GB/T 16484.18.
4.1.7 The analysis of SiO2 and ammonia nitrogen in products shall be carried out in
accordance with the method negotiated by the supplier and purchaser.
4.2 Rounding off of numerical values
Carry out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8170.
4.3 Product appearance
Check visually.
5 Inspection rules
5.1 Inspection and acceptance
5.1.1 The products shall be inspected by the supplier’s quality inspection department.
It shall ensure that the products comply with the provisions of this Standard and fill in
product quality certificates.
5.1.2 The purchaser shall inspect the received products. If the inspection results are
inconsistent with the provisions of this Standard, it shall report it to the supplier within
2 months from the date of receipt of the products, and the supplier and purchaser will
negotiate and resolve. If arbitration is needed, an organization recognized by both
parties can be entrusted to conduct the arbitration, and samples can be taken jointly at
the purchaser’s.
5.2 Batching
The products shall be submitted for inspection in batches, each batch shall be composed
of products of the same designation, and the net weight of each batch shall not exceed
40 t.
5.3 Inspection items
Each batch of products shall be inspected for chemical composition and appearance.
5.4 Sampling and sample preparation
The arbitration sampling of chemical composition is taken from each bag in each batch.
The sampling volume of each bag in each batch is 100 g ~ 200 g. After thoroughly
mixing the sample, quickly reduce it to the required amount of sample and put it into
the sample bag and seal it.
5.5 Judgment of inspection results
5.5.1 If the chemical composition arbitration analysis results are inconsistent with the
provisions of this Standard, double samples will be taken from the batch of products to
conduct repeated tests on the unqualified items. If there are still unqualified test results,
the batch of products will be judged to be unqualified.
5.5.2 If the appearance inspection results are inconsistent with the provisions of this
Standard, the batch of products will be directly judged to be unqualified.
