1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions of remanufacturing of automotive components, and the classification, general requirements and commonly used classification and inspection techniques of components, etc.

3 Terms and Definitions
What is defined in GB/T 26989, and the following terms and definitions are applicable to this Standard.
3.1 Directly Usable Parts
Directly usable parts refer to old parts that do not need repair machining and can satisfy the requirements of remanufacturing and use only through surface treatment processes, such as: cleaning and sandblasting, etc. through the confirmation by inspection.
3.2 Re-manufacturable Parts
Re-manufacturable parts refer to old parts that can satisfy the requirements of remanufacturing and use through the process of repair and machining through the confirmation by inspection.
