Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard uses the redrafting method to modify and use CIPAC MT 47
"Persistent foaming” of Collaborative International Pesticides Analytic Council.
The main differences between this Standard and CIPAC MT 47 "Persistent
foaming" are:
-- The difference of the use of standard hard water: this Standard specifies
the use of standard hard water D (342 mg/L). CIPAC MT 47 specifies the
use of standard hard water C (500 mg/L).
-- The difference of sampling amount: this Standard specifies a sampling
amount of 1.0 g. CIPAC MT 47 does not specify the sampling amount.
-- The difference of the way in reversing the measuring cylinder: the way in
reversing the measuring cylinder which is specified in this Standard is that
the measuring cylinder is reversed, with the middle of the cylinder as the
center, by 180° up and down for 30 times (2 s each time). CIPAC MT 47
does not indicate whether the bottom of the cylinder or the middle of the
cylinder is the center.
-- The difference of the standing time of the measuring cylinder: this Standard
specifies that the foam volume shall be recorded at 1 min ± 10 s after the
measuring cylinder is inverted up and down for 30 times; CIPAC MT 47
specifies that the foam volume shall be recorded at 10 s ± 1 s, 1 min ± 10
s, 3 min ± 10 s, 12 min ± 10 s.
This Standard was proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry
Federation.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
133 on Pesticides of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 133).
The organizations that are responsible for the drafting of this Standard:
