Foreword
This Standard was proposed by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on
Nonferrous Metals of Standardization Administration of China.
The drafting organizations of this Standard: Xinjiang Nonferrous Metals Research
Institute, Sichuan Tianqi Lithium Corporation, General Lithium (Haimen) Corporation.

Battery Grade Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking,
packaging, transportation, storage and contract (or order form) content of battery grade
lithium hydroxide monohydrate products.
This Standard is applicable to battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate used in
the production of secondary battery.
2 Normative References
The following documents are indispensable to the application of this Standard. In terms
of references with a specified date, only versions with a specified date are applicable
to this Standard. In terms of references without a specified date, the latest version
(including all the modifications) is applicable to this Standard.

3 Requirements
3.1 Product Classification
Battery grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate shall be divided into three nameplates:
LiOHH2O-D1, LiOHH2O-D2, LiOHH2O-D3.
3.2 Chemical Composition
Products’ chemical composition shall comply with the stipulation in Table 1.

6.2 Packaging
Products shall adopt double-layer polypropylene, polyethylene plastic bag (or
aluminum plastic bag) vacuum seal packaging. The net weight of each pack may be 3
kg ± 0.03 kg; 4 packs shall be deemed as one PCS. The external packaging shall adopt
cardboard barrel (or cardboard box). When there are other requirements towards the
product packaging mode, it may be negotiated between the supply-side and the
demand-side.
6.3 Transportation
During the transportation of products, pay attention to moisture-proof, collision-proof
and breakage-proof.
6.4 Storage
Products shall be stored in a dry place. The storage period shall not exceed half a year.
6.5 Quality Certificate
Each batch of products shall be attached with a quality certificate, which indicates:
a) Supplier’s name, address, phone number and fax;
b) Product name and nameplate;
c) Batch number;
d) Net weight and PCS number;
e) Various analysis and inspection results; stamp of quality supervision
department;
f) Number of this Standard;
g) Exit-factory date (or packaging date).
7 Contract (or order form) Content
Order form (or contract) for the ordering of products listed in this Standard shall include
the following content:
a) Product name;
