- ADD the information required for ordering;
- MODIFY the requirements for size and allowable dimensional deviation;
- MODIFY the deviation range and rounding off requirements of the
minimum mean tinplating amount;
- MODIFY the identification method of differentially coated electrolytic
tinplate;
Cold-reduced electrolytic tinplate
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification and code, size, shape, weight,
technical requirements, inspection and test, packaging, marking and quality
certificates of cold-reduced electrolytic tinplate.
This standard applies to the single cold-reduced electrolytic tinplate with a
nominal thickness of 0.15 mm ~ 0.60 mm AND the double cold-reduced
electrolytic tinplate with a nominal thickness of 0.12 mm ~ 0.36 mm
(hereinafter referred to as steel plate and steel strip).
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard
through reference in this Standard. For the dated references, the subsequent
amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard;
however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are
encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable.
For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced document applies.

Continuous annealing (CA)
It refers to the annealing process of the cold reduced steel strip in unfolding
state in the controlled atmosphere at a set time and temperature cycle.
3.7
Chemical treated electrolytic tinplate
It refers to the corresponding chemical passivation treatment conducted on
the surface of the electrolytic tinplate to make the surface characteristics of
the electrolytic tinplate comply with the final intended use as specified.
3.8
Chemical chromate treated
It refers to the chemical passivation treatment of the electrolytic tinplate
which is immersed in the dichromate solution without being energized.
3.9
Electrolytic chromate treated
It refers to the cathodic electrochemical passivation treatment of the
electrolytic tinplate which is immersed in the dichromate solution being
energized.
3.10
Low chromate treated
It refers to one of the chemical passivation treatments, wherein the target
value of the chromium content in the surface passivation film shall be
controlled below 1.5 mg/m2.
3.11
K plate
As for some of food with strong electrochemical detinning effect, it shall use
the tinplate of good corrosion resistance, with the tinplating amount not less
than 5.6/2.8 g/m2; AND after being subjected to the four special tests
including acid lag (PL), iron solution value (ISV), tin crystal size (TCS), and
alloy-tin electric coupling (ATC), the target value shall comply with the
following requirements.
the actual thickness as measured at the middle position along the width
direction of the steel plate and steel strip shall be not more than 8.0% of the
actual thickness as measured at the middle position.
6.2.3 Allowable width deviation
The allowable width deviation of steel plate and strip is 0 mm ~ +3 mm.
6.2.4 Allowable length deviation
The allowable length deviation of the steel plate is 0 mm ~ + 3 mm.
6.3 Shape
6.3.1 The degree of disengagement shall not be greater than 0.15% of the
width of the steel plate.
6.3.2 For every 1000 mm length, the camber shall not be more than 1 mm.
6.3.3 Roughness is only applicable to steel plates. The roughness along any
1000 mm length of the steel plate shall not be more than 3 mm.
6.4 The edge shape and size as well as the allowable dimensional deviation of
the lace side plate shall be as negotiated between the supplier and the
purchaser at the time of ordering.
6.5 Other size, shape, weight and allowable deviation shall comply with the
provisions of GB/T 708.
6.6 Welds in steel strip
6.6.1 In each steel strip, the total number of welds at any length of 10000 m
shall not be greater than 3.
6.6.2 Welds in steel strip shall be marked through punching plus visible mark,
for example, by inserting a soft label at the weld location. Through negotiation
between the supplier and the purchaser, it may also use other marking
method.

(Informative)
Rebound test method of double cold-reduced plate
B.1 Principles
First MEASURE the thickness of the rectangular test; and then BEND around
the cylindrical mandrel for 180°; RELEASE it and MEASURE the rebound
angle, which provides a simple and convenient method for the assessment of
the yield strength of the double cold-reduced plate.
B.2 Samples
From each sample steel plate of the double cold-reduced tinplate, TAKE two
200 mm × 25 mm samples from the edge and middle part, with the distance
from the edge sample to the steel plate edge of not less than 25 mm. Before
the test, MAKE the sample subjected to artificial aging for 20 min at 200 °C.
B.3 Test
B.3.1 Test instrument
Rebound tester.
B.3.2 Test procedure
B 3.2.1 MEASURE the thickness of the sample, accurate to 0.001 mm...
