Foreword
The relationship between this standard and EN 1112.1997 “Shower outlets for
(PN 10) sanitary tapware and AS/NZS 3662.2005 “Performance requirements
of shower” is not equivalent.
The Appendix A, Appendix B of this standard are normative.
This standard was proposed by the China Building Materials Federation.
This standard shall be under the jurisdiction of the National Building and
Sanitary Ceramics Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 249).

Shower outlets for bathing
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, materials, technical
requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging,
transportation and storage of the shower outlets for bathing (hereinafter
referred to as the shower).
This standard applies to the shower outlet having a dynamic pressure of 0.05
MPa ~ 0.5 MPa, the water temperature not exceeding 70 °C during use.
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard
through reference in this Standard. For the dated references, the subsequent
amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard;
however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are
encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
Head shower
The shower fixed to the user's top or side, which directly spray the shower
user from top or side.
4 Material
The materials used in the product shall not cause any pollution to the water
quality, it shall not allow the use of easily corrosive materials. After the product
is subject to 90 °C hot water not exceeding 1 min, the smell of water does not
change.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Appearance quality
5.1.1 The outer surface of copper castings shall be free from shrinkage, pinhole,
cracks and other defects, the cavity shall not be attached with sand.
5.1.2 The outer surface of plastic parts shall be free from obvious wrinkles,
scratches, trimming damages, and other defects.
5.1.3 All surfaces which are accessible by human being during use shall be free
from sharp corners and other potential hazards to human body.
5.1.4 After installation, the appearance of electroplated surface shall not have
exposed areas, the surface shall be bright, uniform, and be free from peeling,
stripping, or blistering.
5.2 Pipe-thread’s precision
The precision of pipe-thread of the shower external coupling shall meet the
requirements of class B precision in GB/T 7307. Special thread shall be in
accordance with the contract requirements.
5.3 Safety performance
5.3.1 When tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.3.1, the water jet
method shall not change.
5.3.2 When tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.3.2, the water jet
method shall not change.
5.4 Surface coating and plating quality
5.11 Rotating connection performance
When the product equipped with rotational joint is subject to the test in
accordance with the provisions of 6.11, the torque at the time of rotation of the
shower shall not exceed 0.1 N • m.
5.12 Shower function conversion life
The shower with two or more water jet methods shall be subject to this test.
After 10000 cycles in accordance with the provisions of 6.12, it shall comply
with the requirements of 5.5.
5.13 Hand-held shower backflow prevention performance
Hand-held shower shall have backflow prevention function, which shall be
tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.13, the water level rise shall not
exceed 13 mm.
5.14 Spherical connection swing performance
The mobile fixed shower or shower outlet provided with spherical connections
shall be subject to this test, after 10000 cycles in accordance with the provisions
of 6.14, the spherical connection shall be free from leakage.
5.15 Average jet angle
When tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.15, the average jet angle
shall be. 0° ≤ α ≤ 8°.
Note. This item is only applicable when there is contractual requirement.
5.16 Jet uniformity
When tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.16, within the range of
diameter 120 mm, the amount of water received shall not be more than 70%
and not less than 40% of the total amount of water; within the range of diameter
420 mm, the amount of water received shall be not less than 95% of the total
amount of water.
Note. This item is only applicable when there is contractual requirement.
6 Test methods
6.1 Appearance quality
At a distance of 600 mm ± 50 mm, MAKE visual observation at 300 lx ± 20 lx
light conditions.
6.2 Thread precision
Pipe-thread’s precision at the shower external connection parts shall be
determined by the thread gauge of corresponding precision.
6.3 Safety performance test
6.3.1 INSTALL the shower to the state of use, at the temperature of 42 °C ±
3 °C, respectively, at a dynamic pressure of 0.10 MPa ± 0.02 MPa and dynamic
pressure 0.30 MPa ± 0.02 MPa, USE it stably for 10 min ± 10 s, USE hand
touching method to check whether each part of the shower is flexible; CHECK
whether each water jet method of the shower is changed.
6.3.2 INSTALL the shower to the state of use, at the temperature of 70 °C ±
3 °C, respectively, at a dynamic pressure of 0.05 MPa ± 0.02 MPa and dynamic
pressure 0.50 MPa ± 0.02 MPa, USE it stably for 10 min ± 10 s, USE hand

5.3 Safety performance
5.3.1 When tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.3.1, the water jet
method shall not change.
5.3.2 When tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.3.2, the water jet
method shall not change.
5.4 Surface coating and plating quality
5.11 Rotating connection performance
When the product equipped with rotational joint is subject to the test in
accordance with the provisions of 6.11, the torque at the time of rotation of the
shower shall not exceed 0.1 N • m.
5.12 Shower function conversion life
The shower with two or more water jet methods shall be subject to this test.
After 10000 cycles in accordance with the provisions of 6.12, it shall comply
with the requirements of 5.5.
5.13 Hand-held shower backflow prevention performance
Hand-held shower shall have backflow prevention function, which shall be
tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.13, the water level rise shall not
exceed 13 mm.
5.14 Spherical connection swing performance
The mobile fixed shower or shower outlet provided with spherical connections
shall be subject to this test, after 10000 cycles in accordance with the provisions
of 6.14, the spherical connection shall be free from leakage.
5.15 Average jet angle
When tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.15, the average jet angle

5.16 Jet uniformity
When tested in accordance with the provisions of 6.16, within the range of
diameter 120 mm, the amount of water received shall not be more than 70%
and not less than 40% of the total amount of water; within the range of diameter
420 mm, the amount of water received shall be not less than 95% of the total
amount of water.

6 Test methods
6.1 Appearance quality
