4.3 Labeling of product
The labeling of product shall consist of purpose, fiber type, nominal diameter, nominal length
and standard number.
EXAMPLE 1: The labeling of the crack-proof and anti-cracking chopped basalt fiber strands for
concrete with a nominal diameter of 20μm and a nominal length of 25mm is as follows:
BF S 20μm-25 GB/T23265
EXAMPLE 2: The labeling of the toughening and reinforcing chopped basalt fiber plied yarn for concrete
with a nominal diameter of 200μm and a nominal length of 40mm is as follows:
BZ T 200μm-40 GB/T23265
5 General Requirements
5.1 The products included in this Document shall not cause harm to humans, organisms and the
environment; and shall comply with the relevant standards and specifications for safety and
environmental issues related to production and use.
5.2 The raw materials for the production of chopped basalt fiber shall be basalt or igneous rocks
with basalt as the main component, which are melted at high temperature and then drawn by a
sieve plate to produce uniformly dispersed continuous fibers.
5.3 The appearance of chopped basalt fiber shall be golden brown.
5.4 Chopped basalt fiber shall be used in accordance with the specific dosage provided by the
manufacturer. The mixing method of the test concrete or mortar during construction shall be
carried out in accordance with the mixing method provided in the instructions of the test product.
6 Technical Requirements
6.1 Appearance quality
The chopped basalt fiber has uniform color and no surface pollution.
6.2 Dimension deviation
6.2.1 The length deviation of chopped basalt fiber shall be no greater than ±2mm of the nominal
length.
6.2.2 The diameter deviation of chopped basalt fiber should be no greater than ±10% of the
625℃ for no less than 30min, and the sample shall be cooled to room temperature 20℃±5℃
in a dryer before the test.
7.3.5 Moisture content
The moisture content of basalt fiber shall be determined according to the method specified in
GB/T 9914.1.
7.3.6 Combustible matter content
The combustible matter content of basalt fiber shall be determined according to the method
specified in GB/T 9914.2.
7.3.7 Alkali-resistant tensile stress retention rate
The alkali-resistant tensile stress retention rate of the plied yarn shall be determined according
to the method specified in Appendix C. The alkali-resistant tensile stress retention rate of the
strand shall be determined according to the method specified in Appendix D.
7.4 Performance test of cement concrete and mortar mixed with chopped basalt fiber
7.4.1 Test environment
The test shall be carried out indoors at a temperature of 20℃±5℃. The raw materials for mixing
concrete or mortar shall be transported indoors in advance and the storage time shall be no less
than 24h.
7.4.2 Test materials
7.4.2.1 Cement
Cement with a P•O42.5 shall comply with the provisions of GB 175.
7.4.2.2 Sand
Medium sand with a mud content of less than 1% shall comply with the provisions of GB/T
14684.
7.4.2.3 Stone
Crushed stone with a particle size of 5mm~20mm shall comply with the provisions of GB/T
14685.
7.4.2.4 Water
It shall meet the requirements of JGJ 63.
7.4.2.5 Admixtures
It shall meet the requirements of GB 8076-2008.
7.4.2.6 Fiber
