GB/T 22719.2--2008
Interturn insulation of random-wound winding
for AC low-voltage electrical machines
- Part 2. Test limits
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 22719 specifies the interturn insulation test of random-wound winding for
AC electrical machines - test parameters, test limits and the allowable value of the test
waveforms difference quantity when doing the automatic test discrimination.
This Part applies to random-wound winding interturn insulation test for the 3-phase or single-
phase AC electrical machines of which the nominal voltage is no more than 1140V.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this Part, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Comparison parameter
The parameters used for comparing the test waveforms difference quantity in the impulse
waveform comparison method.
3.2
Waveform area difference
The difference of the areas (see figure 1) covered by the two test waveform curves and their
corresponding x-coordinate (t) in the tested windings (or coils) or the reference windings (or
coils), at any specified comparison discrimination zone.
GB/T 22719.2--2008
Annex A
(Informative)
The Allowable Value of the Test Waveforms Difference Quantity and Settings
A.1 Sampling and Pre-Test
Any 10 sets of motor windings shall be selected from the tested motors as test sample (sample
size n = 10).
Each set of motor winding shall be regarded as a test sample unit (test individual).
Test samples shall be consistent with a batch of motor winding (test overall) that needs to set
automatic discrimination. And they have the same specifications, same material, same
process and the same process characteristics.
The interturn insulation of the test sample shall perform impulse voltage test first according to
the impulse test voltage peak value specified in this Standard. Test waveform display of each
individual shall be the ”normal fault-free waveform” as specified in JB/T9615.1-2000.
Otherwise, the test individual shall be topped-up until the specified sample size is satisfied.
A.2 Individual Test Waveform Difference Quantity
According to the test connection method stipulated in JB/T9615.1-12000, the difference
quantity X of the various test waveforms of each test individual shall be measured according
to the provisions of Chapter 4.
Take the maximum Xmax of the test waveform difference quantity X of each motor winding as
the test waveform difference quantity Xi of that test individual.
A.3 Sample Test Waveform Difference Quantity
A.3.1 Average Value X
According to formula (A.1), the average value X of the sample test waveform difference
quantity shall be calculated by the measured 10 individual test waveform difference quantity
Xi.
A.3.2 Standard Deviation S
According to the formula (A.2) of the small sample standard deviation S, the standard deviation
GB/T 22719.2--2008
S of the sample test waveforms difference quantity shall be calculated.
A.4 The Allowable Value of the Overall Test Waveforms Difference Quantity and Their
Discrimination Settings
The allowable value of the overall test waveforms difference quantity is the sum of the sample
standard deviation S and the maximum Ximax of the test waveforms difference quantity of each
test individual or the average value 𝑋𝑋 of the sample test waveforms difference quantity.
It is recommended to use the sum of the sample standard deviation S and the average value
𝑋𝑋 of sample test waveforms difference quantity.
The allowable value of the overall test waveforms difference quantity is regarded as the set
value of automatic discrimination and alarm range of this batch of motor winding (overall)
interturn insulation impulse withstand voltage test.
