1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods,
inspection rules and marks, packaging, transportation, and storage for jelly
candle.
This Standard is applicable to jelly candle products.
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard
through reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent
amendments (excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Standard,
however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are
encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 jelly candle
the candle that using white oil and high molecular polymers as the main raw
materials, it is made into a jelly-like shape with or without a container
4 Requirements
4.1 Performance indicators
The performance indicators of jelly candle shall meet the requirements of Table
1.

5.4.1 Instruments
Constant temperature incubator: accuracy is ±1°C.
5.4.2 Test steps
Take 4 samples. Place them flat in a thermostat at 35°C±1°C. Maintain 24h.
Take out and recover to room temperature. Observe for discoloration and
deformation.
5.5 Light stability
5.5.1 Instruments
a) Light stability test box: A closed UV light box with heat dissipation device;
b) Ultraviolet lamp: wavelength 365nm, illuminance 500μW/cm2 ~
600μW/cm2.
5.5.2 Test steps
Take 4 samples. Lay flat in the light stability test box, 200mm away from the UV
lamp directly below. Maintain 48h. Take out and observe for discoloration.
5.6 Product placement stability
Take 4 samples. Put one by one on an inclined plane of 10°. Observe whether
there is any overturning phenomenon at any placement angle.
5.7 Combustion performance
Take 4 samples. At room temperature 15°C~25°C, without strong air convection,
light the candle for 15 minutes and observe its burning situation, until it is
completely extinguished. Use a steel ruler to measure the flame height. Take
the maximum of the test results among the 4 candles as the final test result.
5.8 Safety
Visually inspect the whole process of 5.7 and observe whether the container is
broken.
5.9 Burning afterglow
Take 4 samples. At room temperature 15°C~25°C, without strong air convection,
ignite for 30min. Put out the candle. Measure the time from extinguishing the

inspection by the exit-factory inspection department, the product qualification
certificate can be attached.
6.2 Determination rules
If the inspection result does not meet the requirements of this Standard, double
sampling can be carried out from the same batch of products for re-inspection.
For rejected items, the results of the re-inspection shall prevail.
7 Marks, packaging, transportation, storage
7.1 Marks
Product sales packaging and transportation packaging should be in accordance
with the provisions of GB/T 191.
7.1.1 The following marks shall be on the sales package:
a) Product name, trademark;
b) Name and address of the manufacturer;
c) Implemented product standard number;
d) Production date and shelf life;
e) Special circumstances can be based on customer requirements;
f) Corresponding warning signs.
7.1.2 The transportation package shall have the following marks:
a) Product name and trademark;
b) Name and address of the production plant;
c) Packing quantity, gross weight, net weight, color;
d) Date of manufacture;
e) Packing box specification;
f) Signs of upward, fear of rain, fear of the sun and so on shall meet the
requirements of GB/T 191;
g) Special circumstances can be based on customer requirements.
