Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaces GB/T 21980-2008, Current technical criterion for sportswear and exposure suit. Compared with GB/T 21980-2008, the major technical changes are as follows.
-- it changes the English name of this Standard (see cover; cover of 2008 edition); -- it changes the scope of this Standard (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of 2008 edition); -- it changes the normative references (see Clause 2; Clause 2 of 2008 edition); -- it changes the terms and definitions (see Clause 3; Clause 3 of 2008 edition); -- it changes the instructions for use (see 4.1; 4.1 of 2008 edition);
-- it changes the general physicochemical property requirements and assesses products by classifying them into top-quality goods, qualified goods and so on (see Table 1; Table 1 of 2008 edition);
-- it adjusts the item names and the expression method for the indicators for performance appraisal, including fibre content, formaldehyde content, pH value, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dye, foreign odor, colour fastness, seam slippage, pants back rise seam strength and fabric tearing strength (see Table 1; Table 1 of 2008 edition);
-- it adds the requirements for phenol yellow colour fastness, complex colour fastness to light-perspiration, wear-resisting property, tensile elasticity recovery, residual metal needle (see Table 1);
-- it changes the requirements for colour fastness to light (see Table 1; Table 1 of 2008 edition);
-- it changes the content of the note on colour fastness to wet rubbing (see footnote b of Table 1; notes 2 and 3 of Table 1 of 2008 edition);
-- it adds the notes on phenol yellow colour fastness, colour fastness to transfer in joints, complex colour fastness to light-perspiration and tensile elasticity recovery (see footnotes c, d, e, f of Table 1);
-- it changes the notes on protecting suits and seam slippage degree (see footnote a of Table 1; note 4 of Table 1 of 2008 edition);
-- it adds the functional requirements for sportswear and protecting suits (see Table General technical specification for
sportswear and protecting suits

For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions, and those defined in GB/T 15557, apply.
3.1
sportswear
if it is not indicated.
5.10 Hydrostatic pressure property is tested as specified in GB/T 4744. The washing method is as specified in GB/T 8629-2017. standard washing machine type A; washing procedure 4 N; repeated washing 3 times; drying method procedure A.
5.11 Spray rating is tested as specified in GB/T 4745 (distilled water temperature 20??C ?? 2??C). The washing method is as specified in GB/T 8629-2017. standard washing machine type A; washing procedure 4 N; repeated washing 3 times; drying method procedure A.
5.12 Ultraviolet resistance property is tested as specified in GB/T 18830. The washing method is as specified in GB/T 8629-2017. standard washing machine type A; washing procedure 4 N; repeated washing 3 times; drying method procedure A. 5.13 Other physicochemical properties are tested as specified in GB/T 21294. In the arbitration test for colour fastness to water, perspiration and soaping, select single- fibre adjacent fabrics.
5.14 For the test items in which sampling locations are not mentioned, samples can be taken from finished products as required by test.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Sampling rules
Take 4 samples in accordance with the batches, types and colours of products. When the quantity is not sufficient for test, then it can be increased to meet the requirements of test.
6.2 Conformity criteria
Test results shall be as required by 4.1 and 4.2.1. The products whose properties are indicated, also need to meet the requirements of 4.2.2. If all the samples taken meet relevant requirements, then the batch of products is determined to be a conformity. Or else, the batch of products is a non-conformity.
7 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage
The marking, packaging, transportation and storage of finished products are as specified in FZ/T 80002.
