This document stipulates the technical requirements for the ratings, markings, protection against electric shock, construction, electrical properties and mechanical properties, etc. of adaptors. This document is applicable to adaptors for indoor or outdoor use, household and similar purposes, only for alternating current, and with a rated voltage above 50 V but not more than 440 V, a rated current not exceeding 32 A, with or without a grounding contact.
