1 Scope
This Part specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, mark,
package, transportation and storage of polybutylene terephthalate of secondary
coating materials used for optical fiber.
This Part is applicable to the manufacture, use and acceptance of secondary coating
materials PBT used for optical fiber loose tube.

3 Requirements
3.1 Appearance
The product is the milky white, milky yellow or colorless transparent cylindrical particles
with diameter of 2mm~4mm, length of 2mm~4mm. The particles shall be smooth, free
of impurities and free of beads.
3.2 Physical and mechanical properties and electrical properties
The physical and mechanical properties and electrical properties of PBT materials shall
meet the requirements of Table 1.
