Summary | This standard specifies the method after induction furnace combustion infrared absorption method for the determination of total carbon and sulfur in steel content. This method is suitable for the determination of the mass fraction of 0. 005% to 4. 3% carbon content and 0. 0005% to 0. 33% sulfur content. This method can be applied to conventional production control analysis, and in accordance with recognized laboratory accreditation bodies for analysis requirements. This method is widely accepted, good laboratory analysis. This standard commercial instruments using calibrated and certified reference material with a steel calibration verification, while its instrument performance by the conventional method of statistical process control (SPC) control. This method can be used single-element measurement methods, namely the determination of carbon or sulfur alone, , or by simultaneous measurement methods, namely the simultaneous determination of carbon and sulfur. |
