This Part identically uses ISO 15612.2004 "Specification and qualification of
welding procedures for metallic materials - Qualification by adoption of a
standard welding procedure" (English version).
In order to ensure the standard coordination and operability, this Part made the
necessary editorial changes in the equivalent of the translation of ISO
15612.2004.
Compared with ISO 15612, this Part has the following main changes.
- directly used the terms of GB/T 3375 "Welding terminology";
- added Annex A, Annex B, Annex C and Annex D to describe the groups of
related materials.
This Part is issued for the first time.
Annex A, Annex B, Annex C and Annex D of this Part are informative.
This Part was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.
This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on
Welding of Standardization Administration of China.
Main drafting organizations of this Part. Harbin Welding Research Institute,

1 Scope
This Part specifies welding procedure qualification by adoption of a standard
welding procedure.
This Part applies to the welding of steel, aluminum and aluminum alloys, copper
and copper alloys, nickel and nickel alloys. However, in practical application,
the specific scope of application can be determined according to relevant
standards or procedures.
2 Normative references
The following standards contain the provisions which, through reference in this
Part of GB/T 19868, constitute the provisions of this Part. For dated references,
subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to
this Part. However, the parties who enter into agreement based on this Part are
encouraged to investigate whether the latest versions of these documents are
