Scope

This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and labeling, general
requirements, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation
and storage of fan coil unit (hereinafter referred to as "unit").
This Standard applies to unit that uses externally supplied chilled or hot water to cool, heat, or
separately cool and heat rooms, with a supply air volume not exceeding 3400 m³/h and an
external static pressure not exceeding 120 Pa. Unit with similar applications may also refer to
this Standard.
