Shape - Vocabulary and Indications (English version).
For ease of use, this Standard makes the following editorial modifications:
a) “this International Standard” is modified into “this Standard”;
b) The foreword of the International Standard is deleted;
c) In order to maintain consistent with the existing series of standard, the title of the
Standard is modified.
In this Standard, Appendix A is normative; Appendix B and Appendix C are informative.

1 Scope
This Standard defines the terms defining the states of edges and specifies rules for representing
states of edges of undefined shape in technical drawings. The proportions and dimensions of
the graphical symbols to be used are also specified.
In cases where the geometrically defined shape of an edge (1 x 45°, for example) is required,
the general dimensioning principles given in GB/T 4458.4 and GB/T 16675.2 apply.
