Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 18823-2002 "Permitted tolerants for judgement of testing
results in feeds".
Compared with GB/T 18823-2002, the main technical differences of this standard are
as follows:
- ADD Chapter 2 "Normative references";
- CHANGE the columns of "Nutrition index" and "Sanitation index" in the Table of
the original standard into "Standard specified value";
- DELETE the symbols "+", "-", "±" in the column of "Permitted tolerant" in the
Table of original standard; the relevant meanings are explained in the newly added
"Chapter 4 Judgment methods and rules";
- ADD the permitted tolerant values of neutral detergent fibers, hydrochloric acid
insoluble ash/sand, carnitine, tin, organophosphorus insecticides, carbamate
insecticides, pyrethroid insecticides, mycotoxins, benzo (α) pyrene,
polychlorinated biphenyls, acid value, peroxide value, volatile base nitrogen and
other 13 measurement items, in Chapter 3;
- COMBINE the two columns of the measurement items "calcium, magnesium" and
"total phosphorus", in the original standard, into one column "calcium, magnesium,
total phosphorus";
- CHANGE the measurement items "lysine, methionine" in the original standard,
into "other amino acids except tryptophan";
- ADJUST the arrangement order of some "measurement items" in the original
standard in the Table;
- CHANGE the measurement item "arsenic (calculated by total arsenic)" in the
original standard, into "arsenic (calculated by As)";
- ADJUST the permitted tolerant values of amino acids, vitamin A, cadmium,
calcium, magnesium, total phosphorus;
- ADD the Chapter 4 "Judgment methods and rules".
This standard was proposed by AND shall be under the jurisdiction of the National
Standardization Technical Committee of Feed Industry (SAC/TC 76).
Drafting organization of this standard: Huazhong Agricultural University.
Permitted tolerants for judgement of testing results in feeds
1 Scope
This standard specifies the permitted tolerant value, for the determination of test results
during feed testing.
This standard applies to the determination of feed test results.
2 Normative references
The following documents are essential for the application of this document. For dated
references, only the dated version applies to this document. For undated references, the
latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.
GB/T 8170 Rules of rounding off for numerical values and expression and judgement
of limiting values
3 Requirements
The permitted tolerants, in the determination of the test results of feed nutrient
components and health indicators, are as shown in Table 1 ~ Table 5.
product.
4.4 If only the upper limit (maximum content) is specified, in the guaranteed value of a
certain measurement item of the feed product, the judgment shall be made, after adding
the corresponding permitted tolerant value to the guaranteed value of the product.
4.5 If a lower limit value and an upper limit value are specified, in the guaranteed value
of a certain measurement item of the feed product, the judgment of the lower limit value
shall be carried out, according to 4.3; the judgment of the upper limit value shall be
carried out, according to 4.4.
Example:
The guaranteed value of the salt content of a compound feed product is 0.3% ~ 0.8%.
Looking up Table 1, the lower limit of 0.3% and the upper limit of 0.8% of the guaranteed
value of salt content are in the "0.3 ~ 1" grade of the standard specified value in the Table;
the corresponding permitted tolerant value is 0.1%.
Calculation:
The lower limit of the qualified judgment is 0.3% - 0.1% = 0.2%;
The upper limit of the qualified judgment is 0.8% + 0.1% = 0.9%.
4.6 The permitted tolerants, which are listed in this standard, are expressed in absolute
error and relative error. When the permitted tolerant is expressed by relative error (such
as Table 2, Table 3, Table 5), the calculation example is as follows.
Example:
The maximum limit of zinc in a piglet milk replacer product is 200 mg/kg.
Check Table 3. When the standard value of zinc content is 100 mg/kg ~ 500 mg/kg, the
corresponding permitted tolerant (relative error) is 35%.
Calculation:
The upper limit of the qualified judgment is 200 + (200 × 35%) = 270 (mg/kg).
4.7 The rounding of numerical values shall be performed, in accordance with GB/T
8170. The comparison, between the test result of the product item and the guaranteed
value, shall be carried out, according to the "rounding value comparison method" in
GB/T 8170.
