Foreword
This Standard replaced GB 18455-2001 Packaging Recycle Mark.
Compared with GB 18455-2001, this Standard has the major changes as follows.
--- Change the standard nature to be recommended;
--- Change the Terms and Definition in Clause 3;
--- Delete the markings of “reusable”, “recycled materials contained” and “green
point”; add the markings of “paper”, “aluminum” and “iron”;
--- Change the plastic abbreviation of “HDPE” into “PE-HD”; “LDPE” into “PE-LD”.
This Standard was proposed by and under the jurisdiction of National
Technical Committee for Standardization of Package (SAC/TC 49).
Responsible drafting organization of this Standard. China National Export
Commodities Packaging Research Institute; participating drafting organizations of this
Standard. Circular Economy Committee of China Packaging Federation.

Package Recycling Marking
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the identification markings and the marking requirements for
the recyclable packaging containers and packaging component materials.
This Standard is applicable to the recyclable paper, plastic, aluminum and iron
packaging container and packaging components.
