flange with nominal diameter no less than 250mm.
4 General Requirements
4.1 The purchased part shall meet the requirements of the corresponding national
standard and professional standard and be provided with product certificate. It may be
used after passing the inspection.
4.2 As for the tank material selection, the service conditions (including design
temperature, design pressure, medium characteristics and operating feature) and the
properties (including mechanical property, chemical property, physical property and
process property) of the material as well as the fabrication process and economic
rationality of the vessel shall be taken into consideration.
4.3 For the tank material, its quality, specification and mark shall comply with the
requirements of the corresponding material in the national standard or professional
standard, and its application requirements shall comply with those specified in the
quoted standard;
4.4 The fabrication organization shall investigate, evaluate and trace the material
supplier so as to guarantee the pressure vessel material complies with those specified
in this standard as well as the relevant standard. Where the material is transported to
the factory, the material quality certificate and material mark shall be examined; and if
the material is in accordance with the requirements of this standard, it may be used.
4.5 Where the material produced according to foreign standard is adopted, the
pressure units of the tank shall meet the requirements of TSG R0004.
4.6 Specific requirements for the tank material shall be indicated in the design
drawing or corresponding technical document if any.
5 Purchased Part and Pipe Fitting
5.1 Where joint, sealing pad and pipeline are possible to be in contact with the
cryogenic liquid, their materials shall be compatible with the operating medium.
5.2 The stainless steel pipe shall in accordance with those specified in GB/T 14976
and the compatibility between material and medium shall be considered.
5.3 The pressure pipe units such as pipe fitting and valve shall comply with
requirements of the corresponding materials in the national standard or professional
6.3.1 The steel plate for the outer shell shall be possessed of weldability. Where
carbon steel plate and low alloy steel plate are selected, they shall comply with those
specified in GB/T 3274 and GB 713 respectively; and the steel plate shall be provided
with a clear and firm mark on its apparent position, at least including standard code,
material designation and specification as well as heat (lot) No.
6.3.2 The low alloy steel and stainless steel forgings shall respectively comply with
those specified in NB/T 47009 and NB/T 47010 with no less than Grade II forgings;
