Foreword
This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaced GB/T 1817-1995 Test Method of Impact Ductility for Hard Metal Alloys
at Room Temperature.
Compared with GB/T 1817-1995, the major technical changes of this Standard are as follows:
--- Add normative references;
--- Modify the statement of principle;
--- Delete the deflection requirement;
--- Add the specimen parallelism requirement;
--- Add the tolerance requirement for the anvil span;
--- Add the test environment temperature requirement.
This Standard was proposed by China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Non-Ferrous
Metals of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 243).

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the test method for impact toughness of cemented carbide at room
temperature.
This Standard is applicable to the determination of the impact toughness of cemented carbide
materials at room temperature.
