This standard was first released in November 1999, and this is the first revision.
Directives for dust explosion protection for
dust collectors in dust explosion hazardous area
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for dust explosion protection for dust
collectors in dust explosion hazardous area.
This standard applies to design, installation, use and maintenance of dust collectors
in dust explosion hazardous area.
This standard does not apply to mine-underground, fireworks and crackers, and civil
explosive equipment’s production sites.
2 Normative references
The provisions of the following documents become the terms of the standard through
reference in this standard. For dated references, all the subsequent amendments
(excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this standard. However,
encourage the parties who reach an agreement in accordance with this standard to
study whether to use the latest version of these documents. For undated references,
the latest version applies to this standard.
GB 12476.1 Electrical apparatus for use in the presence of combustible dust -
Part 1-1. Electrical apparatus protected by enclosures and surface temperature
limited (idt GB 12476.1-2000, IEC 61241-1.1999)
GB 15577 Safety regulations for dust explosion prevention and protection
GB/T 15604 Terminology for dust explosion prevention
GB/T 15605 Guide for pressure venting of dust explosions
3 Terms and definitions
The terms established in GB/T 15604 AND the following terms and definitions apply
to this standard.
3.1 Dust explosion hazardous area
4.5.2 Dust collector shall have antistatic direct-grounding facilities, and grounding
resistance shall not exceed 100Ω.
4.5.3 The connection between dust collector and inlet-outlet ducts and
ash-unloading device shall be welded. If the flange is used, use conductor to cross
over, and its resistance shall not exceed 0.03Ω.
4.5.4 The matched electrical equipment shall comply with the provisions of GB
12476.1.
4.6 Ash-unloading device
4.6.1 Ash-bucket’s in-wall shall be smooth, the included-angle between the wall
surface of cutting and the horizontal plane shall be determined according to the
repose-angle of dust, generally not less than 65°.
4.6.2 The angle between rectangular ash-bucket’s walls shall be treated with arc
measures.
4.6.3 The lower part of ash-bucket shall install lock-air ash-unloading device.
4.6.4 Ash-unloading device shall be synchronized with dust collector operation, so
that dust cannot be stored up in ash-bucket.
4.7 Automatic control and monitoring
4.7.1 It shall carry out dust cleaning process control for dust collectors.
4.7.2 The following parameters of dust collectors shall be monitored.
--- Pressure difference between air inlet and air outlet;
--- Temperature of air inlet-outlet and ash-bucket;
--- Dust cleaning parameters (cleaning cycle, cleaning intervals, etc.);
--- Injection pressure of pulse-jet bag filter.
4.7.3 The operating condition of the following components of dust collectors shall be
monitored.
--- Ash-unloading device;
--- Valve for dust cleaning (stop valve, switching valve, etc.).
4.7.4 It shall give an alarm when dust collectors have the following malfunction.
--- The pressure difference between air inlet and air outlet is too high;
