1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of the color of acrylic acid and
acrylate esters for industrial use.
This standard applies to the colorimetric determination of acrylic acid and acrylate
esters products for industrial use.

3 Summary of method
Visually compare the chromaticity of the specimen with the chromaticity of the
uranium-cobalt standard solution. Express the measurement results, in Hazen units
(uranium-cobalt scale).
4 Instruments
4.1 Spectrophotometer: For measuring liquid samples, in the visible light zone.
4.2 Cuvette: 1 cm.
4.3 Colorimetric tube: 100 mL.
