Scope

This Standard specifies the small sample bench test procedure and the grades and
marks of friction coefficients for the friction wear of brake linings for automobile
(hereinafter referred to as “linings”).
This Standard applies to automobile disc brake linings and automobile drum brake
linings.
This Standard does not apply to parking brake linings.
