Structural Steels - Technical Delivery Conditions' (English version), EN 10327.2004
"Continuously Hot-dip Coated Strip and Sheet of Low Carbon Steels. Technical
Delivery Conditions" (English version), EN 10143.2006 "Continuously Hot-dip Coated
Steel Sheet and Strip - Deviations on Dimensions and Shape' (English version) AND
AS 1397-2001 "Steel Sheet and Strip - Hot-dip Zinc-coated or Aluminum/Zinc-coated'
(English version), this Standard revises GB/T 14978-1994 "Continual Hot-dip
Aluminum Zinc Silicon Alloy Coated Steel Strips and Sheets".
This Standard replaces GB/T 14978-1994 "Continual Hot-dip Aluminum Zinc Silicon
Alloy Coated Steel Strips and Sheets".
Compared with GB/T 14978-1994, this Standard has the main changes as follows.
- Standard name was modified;
- Dimensional range was expanded;
- The provisions for coating adhesiveness were modified;
- Surface quality provisions were added;
- Post treatment method was added;
- The provisions for dimension, appearance and permissible deviation were
modified;
- Calculation method for theoretical weight was added;
- Designation comparison table was added.
Appendix A and Appendix B of this Standard are normative; while Appendix C and
Appendix D are informative.
This Standard was proposed by China Iron and Steel Association.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Iron
and Steel of Standardization Administration of China.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code, size,
appearance, weight, technical requirements, inspection and test as well as package,
mark and quality certificate of continuously hot-dip aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel
sheet and strip (hereinafter referred to as "steel sheet and strip").
This Standard is applicable to the steel sheet and strip with thickness of
0.30mm~3.0mm mainly used for building, home appliances, electronics and
automobile industry.
