Scope

This Standard specifies the test principles, test equipment, specimens, conditioning, test
procedures, calculations, test results, and test reports for the flexural properties of
sandwich constructions.
This Standard applies to the determination of facing stress and core shear stress in
sandwich constructions subjected to bending, as well as the flexural and shear stiffness
of the sandwich constructions, the elastic modulus of the facings, and the shear modulus
of the core. It also applies to the determination of the bond strength between the facings
and the core.
