Scope

This Document specifies the test method for the electrostatic half-life (hereinafter referred to
as "half-life") of plastic films. It outlines the test principle, specimens and their preparation,
specimen conditioning and standard test environment, test instrument, test procedure,
determination and expression of results, and the test report of the electrostatic half-life of plastic
films.
This Document applies to antistatic packaging plastic films; films made of other insulating
materials may be tested with reference to this Document.
