Summary
This standard applies to detect metallic and (or) the existence of non-metallic objects inductive and capacitive proximity switches can detect the presence or absence of an object reflected sound ultrasonic proximity switches can detect the presence or absence of an object photoelectric proximity switches and presence or absence of magnetic objects can be detected non-mechanical magnetic proximity switches. The proximity switch should be fully enclosed and has a semiconductor switching elements that can be used to connect the rated voltage not exceeding 250V (50Hz: or 60Hz), not more than 300V or DC circuits. This section does not apply with analog output proximity switches.
