Foreword
This Standard modifies and adopts ASTM B 86-06 Standard Specification for Zinc and Zinc-Aluminum Alloys for Casting and Die Casting.
Compared with ASTM B 86-06, this Standard has the following major technical differences.
--- Make larger editorial changes in the structure;
--- Don?€?t use the ordering information and reference documents in the ASTM B 86- 06;
--- Add the grade and code expression methods for die casting zinc;
--- Add Appendix A Zinc Alloy Grade Comparison Form.
This Standard replaces GB/T 13818-1992 Die Casting Zinc Alloys.
Compared with GB/T 13818-1992, this Standard mainly has the following technical changes.
--- Delete the requirements for mechanical property;
--- Modify the expression method of grade;
--- Add three kinds of high-aluminum zinc alloys.
--- Appendix A of this Standard is informative one.
This Standard was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee of Standardization of Casting (SAT/TC 54).

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the grade and code expression method, technical requirements, inspection methods and inspection rules, package, transportation, storage and other requirements of die casting zinc alloys.
This Standard is applicable to the die casting zinc alloys.
