Summary
This standard specifies the terms and definitions of ductile iron pieces, grades, technical requirements, sampling and testing methods, inspection rules, Other test methods of casting, casting mark, packaging, rust and storage requirements. This standard applies to sand or sand equivalent thermal conductivity of the mold and the casting of ordinary and low alloy ductile iron castings. For special casting process for the production of ductile iron castings, reference may be used.
