Scope

This Standard describes a number of methods that are applicable to the measurement of the
thickness of coatings applied to a substrate. Methods for determining wet-film thickness, dry-
film thickness and the film thickness of uncured powder layers are described. Reference is made
to individual standards where these exist. Otherwise, the method is described in detail.

Summary	This standard provides a series of coating to be used to measure the thickness of the coating on the substrate, the method comprising measuring wet film thickness, dry film thickness of uncured powder coating on the surface of the film thickness and the thickness of the rough way. In a single test method standards exists, the part of the direct reference these standards, or put out a detailed description of these test methods. Appendix A gives the test methods outlined for each test method specifies the scope of existing standards and precision. This part also with film thickness measurements were made on terms defined.
