Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Standard replaces GB/T 11834-2000, Asbestos friction linings for industrial machines. Compared with GB/T 11834-2000, the major technical changes of this Standard are as follows:
-- Change the standard name from ?€?Asbestos friction linings for industrial machines?€? to ?€?Friction linings for industrial and agricultural machines?€?; -- Cancel the process performance in Table 1; amend ?€?Materials?€? to
?€?Materials and processes?€?; unify Class 3 No. 1, Class 3 No. 2 and Class 3 No. 3 in Table 1 into Class 3; add LP2 and corresponding requirements to Class 2 products (see Table 1; Table 1 of version 2000);
-- For the basic thickness dimensions in Table 2, Table 4, and Table 10, change ?€????6.3?€? and ?€?>6.3 ~ 10.0?€? to ?€????6.5?€? and ?€?>6.5 ~ 10.0?€? respectively (see Table 2, Table 4; Table 2 and Table 4 of version 2000);
-- Unify Class 3 No. 1, Class 3 No. 2 and Class 3 No. 3 in Table 5 into Class 3; change the friction coefficient at 200??C of Class 3 in Table 5 from ?€?0.20 ~ 0.60?€? to ?€?0.25 ~ 0.60?€?; change the friction coefficient at 250??C from ?€?0.15 ~ 0.60?€? to ?€?0.20 ~ 0.60?€? (see Table 5; Table 5 of version 2000);
-- Unify Class 3 No.1, Class 3 No. 2, Class 3 No. 3 in Table 6 into Class 3; add the allowable deviation of the specified friction coefficient of the highest test temperature section of various products in Table 6 (see Table 6; Table 6 of version 2000);
-- Unify Class 3 No.1, Class 3 No. 2, Class 3 No. 3 in Table 7 into Class 3; modify the expression method of wear rate in Table 7, from ?€?????€? to ?€?0~?€?; modify the wear rate of Class 3 at 250??C from ?€????2.00?€? to ?€?0 ~ 1.50?€? (see Table 7; Table 7 of version 2000);
-- Modify the test conditions in Table 9; increase the maximum test
temperature of LP3 to 250??C (see Table 9; Table 9 of version 2000);
-- Change the thickness of softness from ?€?not greater than 6.3 mm?€? to ?€?not greater than 6.5 mm?€? (see 4.4; 4.4 of version 2000);
-- Add the requirements for the shear strength of ZP2 and ZP3 bonded brake pads and the corresponding test methods (see 4.6, 5.6);
Friction linings for industrial and agricultural
machines
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of dry friction linings for industrial and agricultural machines (hereinafter referred to as friction linings).
This Standard applies to dry friction linings for industrial and agricultural machines.
2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this document; for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Classification
3.1 Classification and code
The classification and code of friction linings for industrial and agricultural machines shall meet the requirements of Table 1.
4.3.4 After the test, the test piece shall not have cracks, bumps and other defects that affect the use; the test piece shall not have obvious scratches on the friction surface of the disc.
4.4 Softness
The softness applies to Class 1 friction linings. It can also be applied when the user has softness requirements for Class 2 and Class 3 brake bands whose thickness is not greater than 6.5 mm. After the softness test, the surface of the friction lining is not allowed to have cracks that affect the use.
4.5 Bending performance
The bending strength and maximum strain of the clutch plate shall meet the requirements of Table 8.
Table 8 -- Bending strength and maximum strain
Item Requirement
Bending strength/(N/mm2) ???25.0
Maximum strain/(10-3mm/mm) ???6.0
4.6 Shear performance
The shear strength of ZP2 and ZP3 bonded brake pads at room temperature shall not be less than 2.5 MPa.
5 Test method
5.1 Appearance quality inspection
The appearance quality is checked by visual inspection.
5.2 Dimension measurement
For the width and thickness of the brake pad and the brake band, the inner and outer diameters of the clutch plate, use a vernier caliper whose accuracy is 0.02 mm to measure; for the thickness of the clutch plate, use a micrometer whose accuracy is 0.01 mm to measure. The measuring tools for other dimensions are determined by the supplier and the buyer.
5.3 Friction performance test
The friction performance test shall be carried out in accordance with Table 9. Table 9 -- Pressure, temperature and test method of different types of
friction linings
Table 12 -- Number of samples for performance inspection
in pieces
6.3 Result judgment
6.3.1 The appearance dimensions of the friction lining shall be determined in accordance with Table 11.
6.3.2 If all other inspection items meet the requirements of this Standard, judge these items to be qualified; if any item does not meet the requirements of this Standard, take double samples for re-inspection of the item; if the re-inspection result meets the requirements of this Standard, still judge the item to be qualified; if the re-inspection result still does not meet the requirements of this Standard, judge the batch of products to be unqualified.
6.3.3 If all the inspection items are qualified, judge the batch of products to be qualified. If any item is unqualified, judge the batch of products to be unqualified. 7 Marking, packaging, transportation and storage
7.1 Marking
7.1.1 The non-working surface of the friction lining shall be printed with the manufacturer's name or trademark, production year and month or batch number. 7.1.2 The four sides of the friction linings packaging shall be printed with product mark, manufacturer's name, address, product quantity, designated friction coefficient, and inspection packaging date.
7.2 Packaging
7.2.1 The friction lining shall be packed tightly and neatly in clean, dry, sturdy and durable packaging.
7.2.2 Each package shall be filled with friction linings of the same model and specifications; when it is required by the user, a set of friction linings can also be packaged.
7.2.3 Each package shall be accompanied by a product certificate.
