Scope

This standard specifies the definition and series of DN (nominal size).
This standard applies to pipework components specified in the relevant
standards using the DN marking.
Note. Other size marking methods different from this standard can also be used,
such as the pipework components of threading, press fitting, socket welding or
butt welding, or the pipework components which are marked by NPS (nominal
pipe size), OD (outer diameter), ID (inner diameter) or G (pipe thread size
marking).
