Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 1019-1989.
This standard has made the following changes, compared with the previous
version.
The “test method after the product packaging” that was listed in previous
standard’s appendix is moved into the standard main-text. And the main test
methods are revised as follows.
1) For package pressure stacking test that occurs after humidity and
temperature test, the height difference of the package between after-test
and before-test is changed from "shall be less than 1. 2cm/m" to "shall be
less than 1. 5cm/m";
2) The impact velocity of bevel impact test is changed from “v = 2.2 m/s” to
“v = 1.5 m/s”;
3) Cancel the "cross-wood bump test";
4) In drop test, for the product that cannot be inverted, it is changed from
"continuously drop test 6 times to the bottom-subface 3" to "continuously
drop test 3 times to the bottom-subface 3";
5) The drop height in drop test is adjusted for the circulation conditions 1
and 2;
6) Add the chapter "Packing Mark".
This standard was proposed by China National Light Industry Council.
This standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Household Electrical
Standardization Technical Committee.

1 Scope
This standard specifies term definitions, technical requirements, test methods
and marks of package of household and similar electrical appliances. This
standard applies to household and similar electrical appliances.
2 Normative references
The provisions of the following documents become the terms of the standard
through reference in this standard. For dated references, all the subsequent
amendments (excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this
standard. However, encourage the parties who reach an agreement in
accordance with this standard to study whether to use the latest version of
these documents. For undated references, the latest version applies to this
standard.

3.6 Shockproof packaging
It is a kind of packaging, in order to reduce the impact and vibration of the
contents, to take some protective measures to avoid damage.
3.7 Package
The overall-body that id formed after products are packed.
3.8 Packaging material
It is a kind of material specially designed and used for the packaging, the
storage and transportation of household and similar electrical appliances.
Note. Packaging material may contain renewable material.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 General requirements
The packaging of household and similar electrical appliances shall be
designed based on the nature of the products, characteristics, storage and
transport conditions. Product packaging shall be solid, safe, reliable, easy to
handle. In the conditions of normal handling and transport and during storage,
ensure product safety and performance not to be compromised because
packaging is damaged, molded and rusted. At the same time, packaging shall
comply with national environmental regulations and related requirements.
After passing the product inspection, the accessories, spare parts (if any
attachments, spare parts) and product instructions, verification of conformity
and packing lists shall be complete before packaging.
Packaging operations shall be in accordance with technical documents of
product packaging.
4.2 Moisture-proof packaging
If products need moisture-proof packaging, the packaging shall be consistent
with the provisions of Chapter 4 of GB/T 5048-1999.
The products requiring moisture-proof packaging shall be packaged according
to the design requirements of products and packaging. Packaging shall be
consistent with certain moisture-proof level or standards. After moisture-proof
packaging, the package shall be required to conduct constant heat and
humidity test according to the regulations. After the test, the appearance
