Scope

1.1 This Part of GB 5296 specifies the compilation principles and methods of
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE of consumer products (hereinafter referred to as
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE). This Part applies to.
—— Consumer product designers, manufacturer, technical document drafters or other
people who engage in the work of conceiving and drafting such instructions;
—— Technical committees or organization which drafts standards for consumer
products.
1.2 The principles and methods in this Part shall be applied in combination with the specific
requirements of INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE of specific product standard.
1.3 This Part includes evaluation methods for INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE of consumer
products (see Annex A). It shall be used as reference methods and basics to review the
comprehensiveness of contents of the INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE; and to assess the
compilation quality of the INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.
