Announcement on Publishing the National Standard "Code for Construction and
Acceptance of Fan, Compressor and Pump Installation"
"Code for Construction and Acceptance of Fan, Compressor and Pump Installation" has been
approved as a national standard with a serial number of GB 50275-2010 and shall be implemented
on February 1, 2011 . Therein, Articles (Items) 2.3 .6 (3), 3.1.1 (5) and 4.7.1 (2) are compulsory
provisions and must be enforced strictly. The former "Code for Construction and Acceptance of
Compressor, Fan and Pump Installation" GB 50275-98 shall be abolished simultaneously.
Authorized by the Standard Rating Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural
Development of the People's Republic of China, this code is published and distributed by China
Planning Press.

Foreword
According to the requirements of Document JIANBIAO [2003] No. 102 issued by former
Ministry of Construction (MOC)- "Notice on Printing and Publishing the Development and Revision
Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 2002~2003", this standard was formulated
through revising the standard "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Compressor, Fan and Pump
Installation" GB 50275-98 by the China CMIIC Engineering and Construction Corporation jointly
with the organizations concerned.
During the revision process of this standard, the revision group investigated and researched
widely, summarized the practical experience in casting equipment in the last decade, carried out
monographic studies, referred to a great deal of documents and engineering data, sought the opinions
from the organizations and experts concerned nationwide, and finalized this code through examination
after repeated discussion, modification and perfection.
The main changes in this revision include.
1. Adjust the editing order of Chapter 2 "Compressor" and Chapter 3 "Fan" in the former
standard, and change the standard name as "Code for Construction and Acceptance of Fan, Compressor
and Pump Installation"; set the provisions in common requirements in Sections in the former standard
to Section "Bas ic Requirements" in each chapter.
2. Add the technical stipulations in installation, safety and environmental protection of anti-
explosion fan, firefighting smoke extractor fan, vortex pump, gear pump, rotor pump, submersible
water pump, etc.
3. Make adjustment, revision and supplementation for the content and parameters in pa1tial
chapter, Section and appendix in the former standard.
The provisions printed in bold type in this code are compulsory provisions and must be enforced
strictly.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is in charge of the administration of this
standard and the explanation of the compulsory provisions hereof; the China Machinery Industry
Federation is in charge of the routine management; and the China CMIIC Engineering and Construction
Corporation is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents. All relevant organizations
are kindly requested to sum up and accumulate your experiences in actual practices during the process
of implementation; the relevant opinions and advices, whenever necessary, can be posted or passed on
to the Mechanical Industrial Installation Engineering Standard Quota Station of China (Address. 5#
