National Food Safety Standard -- Enamelware
1 Scope
This standard applies to the food contact enamelware.
2 Terms and definitions
2.1 Flat ware
It refers to the enamelware for which the depth from the ware mouth along the
horizontal plane to its internal lowest horizontal plane is less than or equal to
25 mm.
2.2 Hollow ware
It refers to the enamelware for which the depth from the ware mouth along the
horizontal plane to its internal lowest horizontal plane is more than 25 mm.
2.3 Hold-up vessel
It refers to the hollow ware with a volume greater than or equal to 3 L.
3 Basic requirements
The foot contact enamelware shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB
4806.1.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Sensory requirements
Enamelware shall be smooth in surface, uniform in enameling, AND free from
cracks, gaps, fish scales burst, de-enameling, burst point, fracture, pan boiling
marks, blisters, and base exposure.
4.2 Physiochemical indicators
Physiochemical indicators shall comply with the provisions of Table 1.
