Scope

This document defines the terms and definitions for the limitation of harmful substances
found in watch casings contacting directly with skin (hereinafter referred to as "watch
casings"), specifies the requirements, inspection rules and marking, and describes the
corresponding test methods.
This document applies to watch casings made of metal, cermet, leather, plastic, rubber,
synthetic sapphire, inorganic glass, and fiber composite materials that come into direct
contact with human skin.
