Scope

This Standard specifies the requirements for water pollutant discharge control, monitoring, and
supervision and management in the textile industry.
This Standard is applicable to the management of water pollutant discharges from existing
pollutant discharging units and production facilities in the textile industry, as well as to
environmental impact assessment, design of environmental protection facilities, acceptance
inspection of environmental protection facilities upon completion, issuance of pollutant
discharge permits, and post-commissioning water pollutant discharge management for textile
industry construction projects.
This Standard is also applicable to the management of water pollutant discharges from
centralized wastewater treatment facilities for textile industry.
The requirements for water pollutant discharge control specified in this Standard apply to the
discharge of water pollutants—whether direct or indirect—beyond the plant boundaries by
pollutant discharging units and production facilities in the textile industry, as well as centralized
wastewater treatment facilities for textile industry.
