Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions related to the classification and
labeling of chemicals, as well as the general requirements for the classification, labeling,
safety data sheets of chemicals.
This document is applicable to the classification and disclosure of chemicals in
accordance with the United Nations Globally Harmonized System of Classification and
Labeling of Chemicals (hereinafter referred to as GHS).
This document does not apply to intentionally ingested drugs, food additives, cosmetics,
pesticide residues in food; however, if workers may be exposed or there is a potential
for exposure during transportation, the provisions of this document must still be
followed.
Note. The labeling requirements for transport packaging shall take precedence over the
requirements of the "Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Model
Regulations".
