Scope

This standard specifies the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency, the
evaluating values of energy conservation, test methods, and inspection rules for desktop
microcomputers, all-in-one desktop microcomputers with display functions (referred to
as all-in-one computers), and portable computers (the above are collectively referred to
as microcomputers).
This standard applies to general-purpose microcomputers, but not to workstations and
industrial computers.
This standard does not apply to microcomputers with two or more independent graphic
display units, nor does it apply to microcomputers with a power supply rated power
greater than 750W.
This standard does not apply to portable computers and all-in-one computers with a
display diagonal of less than 0.2946 m (11.6 inches).
