Scope

This Standard specifies the technical requirements, the calculation of per unit time
energy consumption, the calculation of energy efficiency, and testing methods and
inspection rules for computer monitors (hereinafter referred to as monitors) for general
purposes.
This Standard is applicable to liquid crystal display (LCD) for computers; it is also
applicable to display equipment, whose main function is computer display, and is
equipped with a tuner/receiver.
This Standard is not applicable to monitors for professional purposes, such as
engineering, medical treatment and industrial equipment, etc.
